Teaching centres, departments and authorised lecturers can present proposals for exchange programmes.

A proposal for an exchange programme must be signed by the rector or by the relevant vice-rector and requires a favourable report from:
a) the teaching centre, for exchange programmes for undergraduate courses;
b) the department, if the proposal is for an exchange programme for postgraduate courses, as well as approval from the Graduate School.

For mobility programmes, the proposal must include:
•a commitment to students not being obliged to pay tuition fees in their destination university, nor any administrative fees for certification of their studies;
•the period during which the exchange will take place and how this period will fit into the UAB academic calendar for that year;
•any other obligations for students participating in the programme.
