UAB offers 30 enrolment aids for non-EU resident students wishing to begin an official master's degree in the 2010/11 academic year. The application period begins on 20 July.
These UAB aids cover only the additional cost of enrolment for 2010/11 official master's degrees as approved by the Board of Trustees and which must be paid by foreign students who are not residents of the EU. In the case of interuniversity master's degrees these grants will only be available for those master's coordinated by the UAB. This call only includes university master's degrees which are subject to specific price regulations and offered by UAB centres.
Eligibility
In order to apply for an aid, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
- Foreign student who is not a resident of a member state of the European Union or Switzerland.
- Accepted into an official master's degree in the first pre-enrolment period of the 2010/11 academic year.
- Excellent academic record.
- Enrolled in a minimum of 60 credits, except in cases where the total number of credits in the annual plan for the master's degree is less than 60.
- Enrol in the master's degree before 13 October 2010.
Incompatibility
These aids are not compatible with any other kind of grant or financial support received by the student covering the entire cost of enrolment credits.
Applications
The call for applications begins on 20 July and ends on 15 August 2010.
Resolution
The results of the applications will be announced as follows:
- A provisional list of selected applicants will be published in the first two weeks of September.
- Once the provisional list is published there will be a period of 10 days for appeals.
- The final list of grant holders will be published at the end of September 2010.
